Spring 2016 Wedding Dress Trends

Designers are already previewing their wedding dress trends for 2016. There are a multitude of styles available, but these are proving to be the most popular among wedding dress designers.

Bateau Necklines
This style of neckline offers a simple, yet classic silhouette. They are a fantastic way to accent the shoulders. This neckline is also wonderful for brides who are not opting for a strapless gown.

Blush-Colors and Floral Patterns
For those brides who want a unique splash of color for their big day, opt for a gentle rose color or pink gown. Floral patterns are also making their debut on the wedding designer runways for 2016 weddings. The traditional white is not for every bride, so a soft color or pattern is a great way to stay true to your personality.

Feather Finishes
Feathered skirts or feathers accenting the bodice can make the distinctive bride look ethereal. It’s a tasteful way to add dimension to a gown without adding weight or extra layers for the bride who wants a lighter gown.

Layers of Lace
Lace remains a classic choice to help a bride’s dress have character. Chantilly lace and Swiss dot lace are the major lace trends for 2016. They not only add texture to a gown, they can provide special detail to the bodice or skirt for added glamour.

Victorian Touches
Going back to traditional Victorian styles is going to be all the rage in 2016. Dresses may have elements of high necklines, flare sleeves, or pearl-stranded sleeves. The dress may even be a classic silk ball gown. Beadwork and pearls will also add the touch of traditional that some brides are looking for in their gown.
